with that air box it in it going to hit the radiator because that will go to the top of the front bar piece???? cos i was thinking of doing the same but droping my radiator down two inches to clear?????

ben... im drawing up a v mount setup at the moment... dont want to make it until the engine is sitting in its rightful place.

im going to use an MY00 WRX crossflow radiator/thermos/header tank setup... might be something for you to check out..

the wrx radiator is a little bit shorter than the skyline one.. same width though, or close enough.

the early wrx doesnt have the cap on the radiator.. its a pure header tank setup..

btw... great to see the project is moving again.. mine has gone back to the drawing board.. starting all over again.

I'll be converting the Crownie boxes to Alloy soon, i'm at superlap/a wedding this weekend, so i won't get to look at it. The over the radiator intake seems to be vary popular on race cars. Only seem to be the Japs that persist with the pod filter in the guard.

If the new airbox goes to plan, i'll duct from the LH guard to the turbo to cool it.

Well we did some more wiring on the weekend. The car now cranks over, and the fans, ecu and horn work.

When I was at superlap I took lots of pics of the GIO airbox, my original design was very similar, but i'm copying the GMS one now, as it's pretty simple design.

damo is a auto electrition so that helps. it's a trimmed down standard loom, as the factory wiring is small and light. And all the extra bits and peices are single runs tied into the loom. The ABS will be wired with mil-spec, but there isn't enough colours to do all the car.
