so ive read the whole thread again twice and still dont get it

i dont get why you think or your tuner thinks its the intercooler core thats the restriction

power is a simple calculation of

air + fuel + spark + compression = power

so the 2835 can keep up

hows your fuel?

hows your spark?

the turbo probably isnt out of efficiency

whats the tune like?

whats does the AFR look like on max load?

how is the ignition timing tuned?

whats base idle timing ? check it with a timing light?

what ecu? what injectors? what fuel pump

so we had almost 25 psi turbo side and inlet side was 17 psi...my tuner has told me that my just jap "cooling pro" intercooler has restricted the flow and the cooler needs to go for something better.

I would also assume that the cooler was the restriction with those numbers.

ive upgraded fuel pump to 500 hp

splitfire coil packs

platinum sparks (.8 gap)

the afr's are nothing lower then 11.8 or higher then 12.2

not sure on ignition timing

power fc, 600cc injectors.

had 100,000 k service done when turbo was installed.

Chuck in some new BKR6E plugs into it and see what it does. I once had a set of plugs in the car where the spark plug end sat about 2mm higher in the combustion chamber than normal BKR plugs and we lost about 15kw due to it. Worth a shot man, what plugs are actually in the car, ie part number?

and sparkplugs are- pfr7b

I may be wrong but i thought the iridiums and platinums dont like boost, coppers are best for boosted applications apparently.

fwiw i use BCPR7ES @ .9

Yep or those ones Hamish said. BKR or BCPR are pretty much the same plug. The ones i accidently used once were BPR i think off of memory. Either way chuck some coppers in and see what it does. You'll be kicking yourself if you dont and later on find out it was plugs all along.

yeh i run BCPR6E .08 in my rb25 cefiro and its never ran better ! BCPR6E have a V groove in the electrode which is ment to enlarge the spark, the S after the E means standard.. also have u checked the wastegate..

if u spent all this money on coolers whats $25 and 30min worth?

the BKR7E have the groove too. thats what i use. any of the above mentioned plugs will do. i suggest going for a colder plug. ie. 7 over a 6 at your power levels.

heat range 6 will be aight for his power... i'd go a 7 anyway, but 6's work for 300rwkw

have you changed your clamps yet? its worth it in the long run either way.... i'd be looking at replacing all the hoses after the turbo.... it wont cost much and will be good for piece of mind either way :)

dont give up on it... when you have a responsive 280rwkw you will NEVER regret it!

ive changed all my clamps to t-bolt clamps, and all hoses except 2...ive taken it from my current tuner due to him being backed up with with and having not enough time in the near future to find the issue.

so on friday i will be taking it to a new tuner who hopefully will/can find the issue and have this off my back for good.

and yes joeyjoe i cant wait for that responsive power...its just been going on for so long on such a little issue.

and why would the iridiums be no good???

i seriously don't think the T-bolts are the best option.

Norma constant tension clamps fixed my FMIC leak i had, and you can really crank them because they are lipped on both sides so they don't dig into the silicone

http://www.norma.net.au/norma-constant-ten...ose-clamps.html

good luck with the new tuner

y is every1 so against T bolt clamps, they hold on hydraulic hoses on mining equipment fine with 1000+psi im sure they can hold 20psi

n id also like the hear why iridium plugs are no good, i was thinking of getting a set coz arn't coppers only good for like 10,000 clicks?

I change mine every 5000, i was told by my tuner the iridiums are no good for boosted applications and i believe what he says as it is his job to know, also do a search there was a huge thread on this topic no so long ago.
