for stock turbochargers it's about 8 hours of work to do a turbo swap, so expect similar with a bolt-on kit, being that it will require mounting mods, etc, so 8 hours by $90 for hourly rate and most mechanics shops will be close to $900 when they include anything you miss, or run into problems...

Might find cheap, and it might work out, but then again, they might mis-quote and try to charge more.

Advice, get your quote in writting, so they can not renig on the value and charge more.

There specialist mechanics :)

Been to a specialist doctor recently? Or a private one?

1hour ~ $120 for doctor

1hour ~ $200-300+ on initial appointment with a specalist. lol

Seriously, its not a quick job, and its expensive, I want to upgrade my turbo's but after you do don't forget to factor in the re-tune!

Can't believe mechanics get so much... $90 an Hr WTF...!!! Thats more than a friggin doctor..

You could always take it to some dodgy brothers mechanic and get them to do it, but just like a dodgy doctor you might find there are tools left inside after he has finished.

you get what you pay for in most cases with this... better to pay a few hundred extra for the peice of mind. rather then thinking u got a bargain and end up having damages that'll cost you more then getting it done properly in the first place

$1000 is too much.

Sure GTR turbos are hard to change and there are some known issues (i.e such as bolts snapping= headache.) It isn't easy.

Shop around.

Say you got the number from Ali.
