Modifications are as follows:

- Duel Fuel, converted Apr '07

- Genie extractors

- Impul 15" rims. 2 new tyres.

- King springs in the front, GTS springs in the rear.

- KYB shocks all round.

- GTS2 rear muffler

- Silhouette (sports model) interior.

- Tinted windows.

- Aftermarket Cruise Control

- Alarm, immobiliser and remote central locking.

- DVD headunit, plays mp3 DVD-R's. Needs separate screen to play movies. Aux input for Ipod/mp3 player.

- Blaupunkt 6x9's in custom MDF parcel shelf

- Dash mat

- Floor mats

- Seat covers

- Clear front indicators

This car has served me well as a daily driver. It seems to have a bit more grunt than other sedans I've driven, even running on gas.

Would be an ideal first car, or cheap to run daily.

The bad points:

- Body has a few minor dings

- Faded paint on roof and boot

- CV joint is on its way out

- noisy PS pump.

Rego runs out in December, so plenty of meat left there.

I may be open to consideration for delivering the car along the eastern seaboard.

Cheers

Pat

    • I was only moderately grumpy. I was in fact quiet happy that there weren't still stock bushes in there, because that requires more effort to get them out. They were SuperPro, so definitely zincish. It is very much like the coating wasn't done properly. They were almost certainly of the vintage where the supplied lube with such things was that black messy crap. Some lithium based horror. They have since moved onto the silicone&PTFE greases which are much more sticky and water resistant. I shall have to mark my calendar to have a look at these in 5 years' time.
    • We need pics of grumpy GTSBoy butchering things Do you remember what the plating on the crush tube and bolt was? I feel like the old killer cadmium ones work better than the current silver (zinc?) ones
    • I thought the problem with doing this is the engine needs more timing and therefore is actually less efficient? Modern engines need very little timing to get to MBT, those super sharp edges on the squish pads are probably not the right way to get there but doing away with it entirely doesn't sound right either.
