Hey guys today i accidently broke my stock BOV as i was replacing its gasket and the whole metal flange just snapped!

Now my question is......... Can i run it with no BOV for a couple of weeks as i know its going to have stalling issues....... but i also have a power FC tuned with my stock plumbback bov... Can i block it off till i find a GTR 2nd hand one? will it stuff up my tune? or will it just run funy?? also my turbo is highflowed......

Thanks guys.

I find with the powerFC vs the stock ecu, stalling isn't as prominent as the stock ecu because of the deceleration fuel cut recovery points. I have mine set to 1100rpm and it's fine without a BOV

excellent! thanks heaps. i'l call a few wreckers during the week, in the mean time drive arounddd for a bit!

Just out of curiosity, whats it sound like without the BOV? Im over the whole dose thing but do you get flutter

you instantaneously get "w4nk" status and attract more people and cops too! haha

no harm done without a BOV, I ran my car at 1.3bar for like 6months without a BOV, no stalling nothing, just bump up the deceleration fuel cut recovery in your powerFC settings. Done.

I think, the 1st value should be higher, that's the car under load, i.e. electrical load & air con, the 2nd value is slightly lower, i.e. no load on idle.

Just bump both up by 50rpm at a time till your car stops stalling, which I doubt it will. I beleive the factory powerFC settings are 1050rpm and 1150rpm? or they might be my settings.
