How can u come on here even braging about your shitty 11secs runs. That engine would have cost u 20k+....... 11secs.... pfft.....

Man id being coming round your place with a machine gun. If i owned that S2k.....

for what its worth, I don't think the 180 tagged the s2000, but the crash was obviously caused by the s200 trying to get out go the way at 160+

I'm willing to bet that there is toe out on the rear of the 180, or f**ked/unlocked hicas, or really screwed subframe or other bushes.

Not the driver's fault in as much as I don't think anyone could have driven that car safely to the end of the run. But whoever prepared the car should be shot.

Dunc- In one of the vids you can def see that the 180 hits the Honda

if you watch the 2nd link at about 5mins the 180 does clip the s2k but after the s2k has already swerved. So i doubt very much that the tap itself caused the s2k to hit the wall rather than the s2k trying to get out of the way. If the tap was to have caused the crash wouldnt the s2k spin off to the other side of the track instead? Either way, the 180 was going to hit the s2k.

seriously, some of you really need to stop whinging about what you would do if that was your car or if you were the owner of the s2k! it wasnt you, you werent there, so why make "threats" of what you'd do? i'm pretty sure he'd be feeling pretty down about the whole situation and what he has caused. Hindsight is a wonderful thing! No point saying what you would have done if it were you cos chances are, during that time you wouldn't. Not everyone is a professional drag racer like the majority of you on SAU apparently are. Ease up!

What makes you say that about the rear rear alignment. I would have thought the 30psi boost hit + 7.5 psi would have been like driving a marshmellow on ice

well maybe - but it surely isn't making 1000hp right? I don't think its just power/wheelspin/whatever, the car is moving side to side right from the start line.

Hallo guys,

I did 11.2sec with 130 or 134mph(I don't remember exactly) and 1.9sec 60foot!

Unfortunatly the drag strip was very very bad without glue and very old.

With bumps over 1/8mile as you can see in the video.

Theese bumps caused the accident..

In a good drag strip and with rev limit 8500 I am sure that the time will be mid 10!

In other races I did 1.5sec 60foot but in this drag strip was impossible to do a good launch!

I set the tyre pressure at 7.5psi (cold tyres-before burnouts) in my try for a good time :(

This tyre pressure sure was an other reason for the accident.

At the time that I lost the car I push full brakes and the car did drift because the street has dust and was very old.

Glue has only fore the first 1/16 mile

I tried in the race to tune a little the car with the commander...

Rev limit: 8000rpm

AFR wot: 11.7!!

IGN: 19deg at 8.000rpm

Boost: 2.1bar - 31psi (without vaccum hose at wastegate :P :P )

100octane fuel

Very hot summer day!!! 100F 38C

The car is really fast now!!!:)

Ofcourse it needs tune but it is really good instead without tune.

He doesnt seem very down about it...

It really sucks, and I feel sorry for both car's driver's. That being said, I think maybe some people are over reacting a bit. Sure their are probably a few things that could have been done to improve safety and over all set up (going straight wise) but when you take your car out on to a track, you should know there is always a chance of this kind of thing happening, especially if the sanctioning body doesn't hold track/people to the highest standards, as it appears it might be in this case. We don't have a track here on Oki. It's all late night one person going down the wrong side of the road craziness and if somebody comes into the side of my car, I'm going to be pissed, but I'm not going to expect compensation unless they did it on purpose. In that case, simply asking for money isn't going to fix things.

Show me somebody "down under" who hasn't gotten a little all over the place drag racing and I'll show you somebody who has never driven a fast car. I'm not saying really fast cars can't be stable, but it takes it a while to get it set up right.

Also, I think the shitty track plus 7.5psi in the tires and that much hp is what caused all this. Potential driving mistakes are something we can all make and unless it's something intentionally stupid which it doesn't seem to be in this case, I don't think people should bust balls too bad. This is the internet though, so I guess it's not as serious what people say on here as much as what happened on the track there.

Ok guys thanks for your good words for me.

Do you believe that I wanted to do it?

It was semifinal race of the championship at "Street RWD-4WD".

You will stop from the 1/8?

I continue the race as everyone would continue.

I was ok and I had the control of the car since I push the brakes. At the last cone was the end of the race... I hit the brakes 60 foots before the end because I was feel uncomfortable with my car.

But with the brakes the car starts to make drift.

In a good strip there is glue in all 1/4 mile.

In a good strip there is really good glue at the first foots so if I was in a good strip I didn't run with 7.5psi at my tires.

In a good strip there aren't bumps!!! If there aren'ts bumps my car wouldn't do like a ballerine!!

I understand that the strip is shit at my first run... and this run was the 6th!

That was my fault.... that I continue to do the "stunt man".

S2000 run 26x11.5x16 I run 26x11.5x15 .... Ofcourse S2000 is more stable!

S2000 had coilovers front and rear.

I had coilovers front and stock rear... maybe this was wrong too... maybe I must run with stocks front and rear!

From the first video, you can see clearly that the 180 clicked the rear of the s2k and clearly unsettled it. It's suttle but definitely enough to sent it into the wall.

I hate to say bad things to people but GreeceS13, you need to reread what pple posted and rethink why the accident happened and hopefully doesn't cause another one. A 10sec s2k is not cheap or quick to build.

What you said doesn't make any sense and like commented before is an accident waiting to happen with your car setup. From the footages you had a lot of chance to back off before you lost control. You were going almost the same speed as s2k until the very end. You braked too late and fail to control your car!

If you intend to keep on drag racing get a 2 way diff it will give you more control.

Thanks god both of you are still alive. Dont make the same mistake again, it could cost some body love one.

BTW What tyres did you run at the front? Drag or radial tyres?

Well that would explain why the car was wobbling the rear end all over the place, Thats the reason why ANDRA specify a cross ply front trye must be used if on slicks going faster than i think 12 secs or is it 12.5?
