Hi all,

Just a quick one.

When i bought the car i was told it had a GTR Fuel pump installed.

Im getting some work done soon and all tuned up.

Is there anyway i can check that the GTR fuel pump is in there and not the stock one?

Cheers

open the tank, have a look at the assembly in there, the stock one will fit in the bracket without any modifcation, if its a GTR pump it will have had the bottom cut off or bent to fit in

actually that is not right, I have an R32 gtst and I have fitted an R32 gtr pump. it fits in the stock cradle using the stock bottom rubber and the stock filter/sock infact the assembly looks no different from the standard unit.

Hose clamp = non standard pump

Cheers

Gary

yea good chance its not standard as most ppl will put a hose clamp around it to hold it in place as most aftermarket pumps wont fit in the stock position.

prettys sure GTR pumps have that round thing at the top for vibrations or sumthin

I installed an R32 GTR fuel pump in my old gtst. If you turn your key to start, do you hear the pump priming for a few seconds then switching off?

If you can hear it is prob a gtr pump. I could never hear my gtst pump prime.

You definitly have to modify a gtr pump to fit. I think I used the inlet sock thing from the gtst pump, then had to plastic weld it a bit as it faced the wrong way?

i'm pretty sure mine is a stock gtst pump and i can hear it... it's actually fairly loud. but who knows, i was told mine was very stock, only to find out my 32 gtst has an r33 turbo, hks actuator, full 3 inch exhaust and stainless steel twin pipe dump. also a hks front mount (knew it had a front mount obviously just not hks) so it could be a GT-R pump...
