R33 Body Kit, Higher Clearance

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and girls i ned some advice from you genius body kit peoples, i have an r33 GTS s2, and driving it around the inner west of sydney and many of the other places i go, im destroying the front scoop on the spoiler, theres not much damage to the top, but everytime i go in and out of my drivceway or anyone elses, and no matter how i angle or drive it in, im tearing tearing shreds off the bottom of it!

Iv attached a pic of the kit, im not sure what kit it actually is as i bought the car second hand and the guy before me had no idea either. (see attached pic)

Anyway i've been looking around for front spoilers with some more clearance but cant seem to find anywhere or anything that would suit, though i did find this

The R32 GTS4 'Type M front spoiler', i think that will suit the rest of my BK, and provide me with some extra room for getting up these stupid driveways.

WIll that fit an r33?

At the moment i've removed the front scoop from the car, as its a two piece spoiler, top/scoop (see attached), but honestly i dont want to drive it now as it looks like a some kind of FWD, not a sports car. Anyway, whats the best course of action for me, i cant really keep the scoop on unless i want to have it shatter apart one day and rip my inter cooler out, but i dont think i can keep it the way it is without the scoop cause it just looks horrid, im willing to replace the whole front if needed, or trade, but i need something that sweeps back, and doesnt stick out at the front.

I honestly have no idea when it comes to body mods, so any help would be really appreciated

Hey any know what front this one is

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/post-a11723-

Looks like enough clearance and sweeps back and down which is more the look i want.

Jay, trust me im angling it like nothing else, but yeah but this veilside front sticks out so far it hits everything before the wheels have even touched an incline, seriously i hate it.

ok, looking at these two as replacements for the VS front, both looks like they have alot more clearance and stick out less from the front, they both sweep down not forward.

I like this one more for style points, but im not sure my current front blinkers will fit it. Anyone know the dimensions for this front?

SK's with this one mounted

couldn't find any...

I like this one because it has a far amount of clearance doesnt scoop forward, less stylish then the LS above, but pretty sure my blinkers fit it.

    • Great info @tidi0x  Will definitely be handy for others and maybe me if I decide to keep the shit box H pattern.
    • Bumping this up one last time.... I wanted to follow up on the clutch slave issue. I realized that what the issue comes down to is the pocket is flat milled, and the cylinder does not want rest flat. So in order to mount it correctly you will need to make a spacer for the fingers so the cylinder is floating. I took two plates of aluminum, drilled some holes and was good. I did still need to make the relief cuts in the bell housing, as even with the spacer the bleed section still interferes. The OE bell housing the mounting holes are raised from the housing.
    • If the event in USA goes ahead will be interesting as it seems the rules will get more cars over here. Apparently the track is laguna seca too. Yeah s15, if I get a the lower dash trims, centre console and change front cross member to standard LCA position will fit clubsprint. See how rules are as i would rather do complete widebody than a bolt on flare to run the 295 with proper clearance.
    • If the car is legal height I can't see it being an issue. Found a thread on reddit that might offer some insight.   I got a ticket from a copper in QLD for my S15 being too low. They had this wheel thing on a stick that they put under the car and it hit my exhaust. Anyhow went to an exhaust shop to get the exhaust tucked up/hung a little higher and I wound the coilovers up a smidge. Don't think I even had to go back to the police station unlike when I got defected for having a carbon bonnet when I brought the S15 from the ACT to QLD and had to replace it and then rock up at a police station and have a yougish female officer who knew nothing about cars confirm that I had changed bonnets. Should have just painted the carbon bonnet yellow to match the rest of the car lol
    • Id like to race in the US i think alot of those track would suit me   For the s15? Youd be stuck between club sprint and the new Open Am wouldnt you depending on how much interior you have left in
