Mongoose Signal Wire, What Is It?

What is this wire on my alarm used for? I skimmed the manual front to back but the Mongoose M60 manual is a little vauge on details.

4) GND ARM (-) GROUND WHEN ARMED OUTPUT

I have installed a couple of alarms before and never heard of this channel name, and couldnt pull up much with a google or SAU search.

when the alarm is armed it triggers a negative output from that wire. can be used to turn on additional sensors, autoclose window modules etc
