Oil Pressure Sensor ?

I'm not happy the my oil OE pressure gauge is reading true and as I had an undereading experiance with a Ford Maverick which has a very similar looking oil pressure sensor I thought I'd replace the OE one in the R34 , until I found out that it cost $263.00.

Does anyone know if there is a compatible sensor that is less costly ?

I'm such a friken cheapskate I nearly hate myself sometimes.

I didn't think I'd be Robinson Crusoe on this one , the Ford Maverick is actualy a re-badged Nissan GQ Patrol which is also a straight 6 but a 4 litre a 90s vehicle and from memory runs about the same oil pressure range, I'm wondering if Nissan bunged this little farker in a load of models, more importantly I wonder how to find out, any ideas ?

ive replaced mine with VDO / simens Pressure sender/switch... bout 90$ just gotta get the right threads and stuff...

for 200ish you can just get an a/m gauuge with sender and all that jazz
