heres what i did...

put three layers of fibreglass behind the hole, wait to harden.

then put 3 layers over the hole.

sanded..applied a little bit of filler... sand

done.pretty simple really

i did it this way because im doing a full respray and didnt care about scratching

the paint, hope it helps

The only correct way to do it is to weld in a metal patch and respray.

Fibreglass and/or body filler will crack over time because metal and fibreglass have different flexing/contraction rates, not to mention also the vibration factor.

You can give it a go and have some success over a period of time but eventually it'll happen.

When mounting fibreglass to metal (such as bodykits) a flexible product such as Sikaflex is used for two reasons, easier bonding and flexability.

Good luck with whichever way you go though.

how hard is it to weld up the hole?

is it a rip off to get it done by a professional?

coz i need to prolly do they same thing to my spoiler holes

yea your 33 looks madd with no lock mate

they are pretty massive and ugly on the 33 hey

nice ride mate btw

u have the rims i want lol

but on my budget there never gonna happen lol

Cheers man. Taking it off is fairly easy, but if you want it done so it looks factory get a panel beater to weld up the hole and respray it. You should only need to spray the front of the boot and blend it onto the line at the bend. My mate owns his own business and has years of experience so he did it and you can't tell its been welded nor sprayed on the bend.

Yeah they look terrible on the R33's, really bulky.

Yeh PM-R33, that does look real nice.

A rough price would be good aswell.

I reckon most places shouldn't charge more than $250 for taking it off, welding up the plate and respraying the front.

no worries mate

how much u pay for the rims?

yea i mite go get some quotes over the weekend prolly the best way to really know for sure

takin it off wont stuff up the boot from actually workin will it?

thanks mate
