yeah, there is a seperate plug for heated seats (the switch for them is in in the console).

s1 seats are electric movement/no heaters and have a 2 pin plug only

:blink: what eva! whats the blue and grey wiring on the drivers one for then :S

I had a look at mine and I definately have 2-off 4 pin plugs + 2 other plugs under my driver's seat and at least 1-off 4 pin plug under the passenger seat .

I have the blue plug as well under the drivers seat which seems to be connected after the 4 pin plug.

The Series 2 ones have electric functions for the following;

DRIVERS SIDE

slide front back

recliner up down backrest

seat tilt

PASSENGER SIDE

slide front back

recliner up down backrest

I disconnected the 4 pin plug and had no electric seats but my heaters still worked! So all I can say from this is that the blue plug you say may be related to a function that the passenger seat does not have (SEAT TILT?).

To tell if they have heaters I would be looking at the back of the seat and look to see if you have small black flexible electric coming out of the back of the seat and going into the inside of the backrest of the seat. If you were sitting in the back seat of the car and looking at the back of the front seats you would see the conduits where they come out from the seat to the inside of the backrest.

Just by looking at your photos, looks to me like you may have electric seats but maybe (series 1?) with limited functions (2 pin plugs). To confirm this post photos of each side of the seats where the controls are for the electrics- there should be some diagrams also. This will tell you what can be electrified and what can not.

Hope this helps.

yeah my seats do as you described....

i couldnt see this condute u were talking about if i sat in the rear. had a good feal around where the back rest hits the seat and didnt find ne thing. how ever i did find this random plug. the plug on the seat, goes into one in the car. this didnt give me movement in my seats... is this 4 pin plug going to? i dont have anywhere to plug it into tho :S
