Had a dyno gathering in town here tonight.

Wanted to see what the stag did before i start doing any major mods.

So far its just fmic and 3" exhaust turbo back with an apexi pod. rs4 s2 auto

Got 186.2 was pretty happy with that. Leaving there i raced my mate in his vz ss ute which got 280 and it was pretty even. I think i started pulling away but had to brake.

Dunno how that works, power/weight ratio should have been way in his advantage

anyway, couple of vids. the first one is just a short one

second vid is longer and better quality of all 3 power runs. Note at 1:38 some smartass in the crowd behind me says 'not bad for a volvo'

and a pic of the readout..

Sounded so good up in the rev range screaming along :P

thats really weird

kidafa had a 3" dump, gutted cat, 3 1/4" cat back, ebc at 12, safc2, sitc, fmic, pod. splitfires... i think thats all the perfomance mods.... and he made 178 or sumthing at the rears :S.....

i make it 139kw for the rest of us that live in the metric age.

yeah i was looking at the 186 and thinking that sounded a bit high for just fmic and 3" exhaust (and pod) with no tuning.

An SAFC or eManage (better) and a boost controller would see this climb to around 160awkw at around 11-12psi I'd say.

The aftermarket piggyback ecu is really needed to get the best from the exhaust and especially if you increase boost.

At the moment it will be running quite rich with that exhaust...and my guess is it'll be around 10psi (the reduction in pressure after the turbo increases max boost).

the neo's put out a higher out put stock and sounds like it could be a high reading dyno. Thats a VERY good figure for minimal mods.

lol, I read the original post & thought; 'even for rwkw that's pretty damn high, wtf?'

Either way, it's a reasonable figure for stock management, and makes me pretty happy with the numbers I'm getting, considering that my exhaust is stock from the cat back & I'm only running an S2 intercooler (but plan on mounting up my old AiResearch FMIC once I get the spigots upsized from 2" to 2.25")

I have only one suggestion: Do what Steve says and get some extra management / boost controlling happening. Then you'll be getting some real bang-for-buck.
