I recently purchased 2 genuine nissan keys to suit my r33 gtst off kudos ms for a little over $40 including postage (which all went smoothly). My problem was getting them cut, I went to 2 difference places for each car, Mr Minit and bunnings, both copies look pretty daggy and neither of them worked initially but I was able to use my awesomeness to file out one of the keys to work by myself (took me ~1.5hr), the other one looks so shitty it is beyond a joke. He didnt even bother charging me for it atleast he just said sorry.

Is there anywehere I can go where I can be guaranteed a decent key cutting job, not just some dopey teenage employee who spends 10 seconds on the job and couldnt give a shit if the key works. I dont care if I have to pay alot more for it instead of the usual $3-5 or travel a little further than a 5mins drive I just dont wanna keep having to buy more keys online as they arent that cheap. Or would I be best off spending a whole day doing it myself sitting in a dark corner with my little file.

I had the same problem with my Mitsi a while back. I ended up going to a Lock and Safe shop in Bunno (probably out of your way) but they did a fantastic job and I then had the keys coded by Mitsubishi.

Your best bet is a lock and safe shop or maybe a jeweller to try and clean up the dodgy work that the last guy did.

Blinky

there is one place, i cant remember the name but total nissan in cannington use them and they are awesome! (had my $80 GTR key cut by them with no probs) cant remember the cost per key but it wasnt too expencive and they did a awesome job! anyways umm if i can think of the name i'll let you know

Actually on this note, I only have one key for my car and have done for ages.

Wheres the best place to get one and cut? They still sell them at nissan or will I just need to buy a blank GTR key?

Also, only have one thingo for my immobiliser/central locking. I haveno idea of the brand as it was in when I got it.

Easier just getting a whole new alarm system than trying to get a new thingo?

Diamond Lock and Key on Main Street in Osborne Park (I think that's still Ozzy Park...) We get all our keys cut there (I work for Jason Mazda) and every one is perfect. Never had a problem. Costs us just less the $40, not sure if that's trade price or not though. Either way, excelent work. Unfortunately, not open on the weekends, otherwise I'd be there now getting a key cut for a 32.

Yeah its in Osborne Park, just nest to the Main st/Hutton st lights. And yes, they do kick ass work and have awesome equipment.

There is a place in Morley/Dianella called A1 locksmiths you can either take the key to them or they'll come out & see you but their work is excellent they really know their stuff & the dealership I work at always sends me out to get the key done their they also do transponder programming. Thats the little computer chip in your key for central locking & stuff.
