Thanks for the offer of Avgas & so on. I'm not sure what brew to use at this stage, perhaps some Elf LMS?

I'll give 300 a shot, the boost level won't be a problem that's for sure.

300rwkw is certainly possible on stock internals, well over 300 is possible as we've seen, it's more the longevity at that level on a regular basis that's the issue. Even with an excellent tune I don't think you'd see the stock pistons (especially 10 yr old series 1 RB25DET) cope with ~300rwkw everyday.

I think it's fair to say, based on the number of RB25DET piston failures I've now seen/know of, that above 250rwkw & you are into "potential" danger territory.

Yeah I'd love to bolt the big HKS turbo on but only if Matt was in a giving mood ;) Cash is all gone after this round of mods.

Yep 8.0 is getting down there in CR but with that low a CR 20+psi & quite a bit of timing won't be a problem.
