Anyone work in this industry or have an idea what they get paid salary wise and/or commission wise?

I was talking to someone and they said that some places let them choose between a salary, or a retainer&commission.

different dealerships have different commission structures... most sales career gets paid retainer + commission? don't know... i myself only started career in motor sales industry... (not cars but motor finance and insurance) where r u based? if u r in nsw, i'll tell u about a dealership that u should never consider work for...

motor industry can distrupt ur lifestyle in serious ways... (relationship with ur family, girlfriend, children, wkend commitment), think like this... other ppl's holiday (or wkend) is ur working day.. coz thats when they come out to buy cars.. see what i mean?
