Was having a look an Ebay and found this!

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/nissan-350Z-brand-n...%3A3%7C294%3A50

Brand new 5SPD auto for a 350z. So I ducked into the garage and checked my build plate and both my 350GT and 300GT use the same RE5R05A auto transmission as listed above.

Would be useful for anyone with an auto thats on its way out or maybe even replace the CVTs. I paid 5K to rebuild my auto GB in my previous Bluebird...so 1.5K for a brand new one is pretty cheap.

Note: I'm not the seller...I'm even tempted to buy it just as a spare but its located in Melb and seller wants pick up only. :D

Guys

Note there are different 5 speed autos, this is a 2005 model, with tcm inside the box. Earlier models have the tcm in the passenger kick pannel. Think you will find they are all RE5R05A.

Thanks for the headsup ceffy. So how do we tell which one we have? I've got an 01 and also 04.5 (series 2). How did you tell which model is being advertised?

If you look at the box being advertised you can see there are no wires coming out of it and you might be abble to see it has a connector. Thus the 05 model.

Earlier models have wires coming out of the box.
