Just had my car checked over and serviced by gavin wood... there were a couple of things i was worried about but he said that the car is all good...

The only thing he said was the turbo was a bit to loud like when its spooling up so he said it might stay like that for 5 years or it could go in a month...

just another excuse to high flow if it does n e way....

first spendings will be an alarm with remote start probably a viper, python or clifford (all the same)....

Then I need to work where the best place is to spend the money on the engine.... eg ECU, High flow, FMIC or all of the above....

yip exhaust, intake and ECU (remap when possible or emanage) then do other stuff like FMIC, suspension blah blah

but just do the turbo if/when it dies. no need to trouble yourself earlier than you should

I was going to bump the boost up to 20 psi just to speed up the process, untill I realised how much work is involved. :D

I'd say the ecu would cut fuel long before you reached 20psi :D something about protecting the engine blah blah....spoilsport that it is.

btw jpave - the turbo on all M35's is louder than previous stageas and other turbo cars. Yours may well be fine. Either way, the sound is not usually a good indicator of whether or not your turbo is healthy. You need to physically check for sideways movement of the shaft to properly diagnose it.

And also keep the boost below 14psi (stock is ~11) and it should last longer...although some of the guys on here have been unlucky. It depends how the car was treated in japan too.
