starting an rb20det without a cooler

Yes that's not a problem, I've 'bench run a couple of RB20DET's without the IC. You could even drive the car that way, as long as you don't put the engine under too much load (read: go gently).

All you need is a bit of hose or pipe to connect the turbo outlet to the cross-over pipe inlet. I just jury rigged some spare IC hoses and pipes I had lying around.

Depends on how hard you push it, but there's a greatly increased chance of pinging and engine destruction in the worst case.

besides the little stardard cooler probably doesnt do much haha
