if any of you have read the max car performance thread you know that i got ripped off by some guy named matthew dillon. im posting up again to ask a few more questions. does australia have anything like the better business bureau? you know some organization i could turn to to help me clear this up. would the cops do anything about it? if so could somebody give me the phone number of a local station? $1000us is a lot of cash and i really cant afford to just give up on it. if worse comes to worse im going to fly down there and find this dude. any help you all could give me would be greatly appreciated.

thanks guys

Clay,

Each state in Australia has a Dept of Fair Trading (Queensland) or similar names in other states. Which state did this villian Dillon supposedly reside in?

Let us know and I am sure that someone will be able to give you the contact details or you could search under each State governments web-sites for the relevent department. Failing all that try our Federal Police.

Don't give up mate as worms like this give scrupulous traders a bad name.

Cheers

Murray

Refer to the thread below in regards to information on Maximum Car Performance.

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=26793

The local police stations around the area are:

  • Runaway Bay - Morala Ave 4216 (07) 5537 5099 (probably the closest to Labrador)
    Surfers Paradise - 68 Ferny Ave 4217 (07) 5570 7888
    Southport - 96 Scarborough St 4215 (07) 5571 4222

To dial this = international access number + 61 + 07 + 5537 5099

maybe try the ACCC, they deal in this sort of dodgy stuff, but worst comes to worst, call a guy up called 'Ray Martin' he has a show called A current affair, and it shows dodgy buisness men all the time, harrasses them, and they give your moeny back instead of being on tv as being dodgy.

    • Well, your RB20 ECU loom won't have wires for the boost solenoid, that boost sensor, and possibly one or two other things. There could be differences in seemingly random things like the charcoal canister purge solenoid, because the 25DET has to handle boost in the vacuum system and the 20DE does not. I don't know - I haven't looked. It is very likely that all the most important things are same-same, being the main sensors like AFM, CAS, etc, and the injectors and ignition. Not that you'll need the AFM for the Haltech anyway. I would suggest that you would seriously want to sit down with the pinouts for both ECUs and just go through them and highlight green what is the same, orange what is different/missing, and make a plan from there. It's not going to be difficult. It will either be the same or need to be fixed.
    • yeaaa that's why I haven't done any wiring to the stock ecu harness because I have the haltech, but then that leads me to the other question of "is the pnp harness really plug and play?" or would I have to still switch some pins/wires over because the pnp is for the rb25det neo harness, and not for the rb20de neo harness. was really hoping to find something to spoon feed me since so many people have done rb20neo + t conversions, but man this is rough.
    • Temu raptor, lol. At least the owner isn't your typical ranger danger lot
    • They definately are coming back around, so many GTRs coming through again with them.
    • Besides which. If you have a Haltech waiting - don't waste your time and effort and money trying to get the boost sensor. Just f**k the stock ECU off and put the Haltech in. Then you won't need the boost sensor.
