I still say fork out some dollars for a helmet. Meeting the Australian standards is just a regulation that many expensive helmets far surpass. The expensive ones are almost always going to have better protections for your head than the cheap ones, it's not just comfort and weight. An ADR approved helmet doesn't guarantee your head will be safe, as any helmet is just helping where it can...so there are definitely levels of safety to a helmet's design...not just a static standard where that's as good as a helmet can be. I'll add to this, it is shocking some of the designs that do pass. Helmet manufacturers are not held liable for damage in accidents...so please don't think that they have a vested interest in anything but getting their helmet ADR approved - this includes your safety.

    • No, lets be honest here. I went to Winton and did a track day, for all the mods and V8 power and craziness I posted up a time that a K24 stock motor Honda Accord can do on the same tyres (narrower, too) 250kw and learning how to drive the f**kin thing is the sweet spot.
    • While that's true, that is the only thing that those cars can do. Whereas a car like ours can also weigh 500kg less, and take a corner properly without risk of punching a hole in the concrete barrier when it lets go. Oh, and sound good. Oh, and not just be a mobile iPad.
    • Nah, that's the video I was referring to! I want to see you have a proper crack this time, unlike at 2:20 in that video where you are just taking it easy! What do you reckon it'll do at Wakefield? 1:03 ish?
    • This is where what you want is a Barra 4L. I had the FG XR6T for a few years. It made bulk power, and so stupidly effortlessly. But if you want true amazing power that's incredible in traffic light GPs or getting into a gap in traffic, you can't beat an EV...
