Hi all,

I have just bought a 96 GTR VSpec and on the centre console coin slot there is a three position switch. And when I switch it either way, it just turns the parker lights on, doesn't appear to do anything more than that. I can also turm my parkers on via the indicator stork as usual, but it's got me stuffed to what it is actually intended for. Is this genuine? Or has somone fitted it in the past for fog lights or something rather another?

Can't see from the pic, it looks a little like the rear fog light switch on the series 3 R33's, but that is below the steering wheel column, maybe there were fog lights on it once....

Switch it on, walk to the back of your car, guessing you will find a really bright red light on, it is a fog light switch, alot of cars seem to have them at the back now, excels are a perfect example with the little light at the bottom right of bumper

Yeah, I did that and no difference...Just standard parkers come on!

I think you just answered your own question.

It's for your "Parker" lights.

So when you pull over at night, you can flick that switch and ppl can still see you...

The R32's had them too, but on the dash.
