and would the club be organizing the driver training or is it off our own back?

Club will be organising the events,

Finer details and how this will be incorporated into the club are being nutted out behind the scenes at the moment.

Hold tight, and all will be revealed come Members Meeting and beyond.

The current plan would be to have organised SAUWA driver training as we currently do, but equally you can attend a session off your own bat, both would be equally valid.

Sounds good...

Track day!!! WOOOO

Although your probably referring to AHG skid pan... :\

We'll accept either option, aslong as it's a supervised event. AHG is much cheaper, and in general will be the event that most people would be likely to enter, but if you wanted to do a No Limits event at Wanners, or compete in any other form of club level motorsport, that would be even better :P

Yes Tom, it's about time you did one :P There is one on this weekend, but all spots are taken, but come along and cheer us on it you'd like :D

Where? Belmont racecourse carpark or the airport?

What sort of track days are you guys interested in ?

AHG Skid pan

AHG Track

Wanneroo Track

Collie Track

All of the above but I'd need a towball and a trailer before I could hit Collie up.

As Dan mentioned we are, but you'll need to realise that it isn't as cheap as doing an AHG day.

CAMS License $100

Event Cost ~ $165

So as you can see it would be nowhere as cheap as an AHG driver day. This isn't meant to put anyone off, but if we are to organise an event, you'll need to understand it may cost you close to $300 if you don't already have a CAMS license. To some this isn't alot of money, to others it is.

    • Because the drive dog for the steeering angle sensor is present on wheels that came in HICAS cars and not present on wheels that came on non-HICAS cars. Not that I would let that bother me, because HICAS is trash and any excuse to get rid of it is a good excuse.
    • My plan is to replace both Shift Solenoids A and B, and good idea on the Torque Convertor Solenoid as well.

    • Interesting.  Great info. thank you.  Give a few days to get that name plate.  I have a busy life most weeks.  I will be in touch.
    • Strange your posting about this being an issue. Move the harness or change your wheels or run more camber etc. Have the thing not touch the thing so it doesn't destroy the thing.  Short answer, no. Slightly longer answer, the factory fuel gauge is measuring resistance. You need to wire in the FPG fuel level sender into the original factory fuel level sender wiring.  I drew you a picture to explain this one The factory strainer is quite long, reaching down into the bottom of the tank. Safe bet your aftermarket fuel pump has a little baby sized strainer that probably doesn't even point down towards the bottom of the thank.  Solution, move the pump lower down in the tank, or fit a longer strainer, or do both. I did both, I've run my tank down to 5L remaining and the car still drove fine.
