Went along to the motorkahna practise today at Monarto. Had lots of fun nice to see a few skylines out there hackn into the track. As for myself, first timer so was a bit loose "all over the shop" not to mention getn lost but ey happy i made the effort and i wasn't there to break any records lol. Not sure if id want to take the sport up as i could see my bank balance deminsh b4 my eyes, constantly on the limit of 1st handbraking every cone. Can't wait till the real comp on the 30th of august should be some good spectating.

oh and the grey 32 gtst with i think AME wheels dude i had no idea you lived on the same street as me lol

I was there in the black R32 along with quite a few mates (Satria GTi, Red S14, AE82, Black EVO VII, RX7, Colour changing S14, Silver S13 Q's)

I was a bit (alot) unco at the start, almost had some spinouts. I didnt hit any cones but had heaps of understeer until I started using the ever popular handbrake, slowly got the hang of it. My last run of the day litterally 5 minutes before they stopped it was my best. I had Sam (Red S14) coaching me in the passenger seat and linked the final 4 turns with the back out while in counter lock riding the rev limiter for pretty much the whole thing (sorry car lol)

I took a ride in the Grey R32 with Daniel? driving, god that was fun and it had some balls to match the looks and sound. Also did a shotgun run of the J turns in the Red S14.... wow....

It was good to meet everyone, will definately catch another.

There were a few 4WD's there, they had to rip the handbrake to stop it from understeering but I have to admit it didnt look as "flashy" as the RWD and FWD cars IMO. There was a EVO 7,8 and 9 there (I think) Saw a couple of those cock a leg, but the course wasnt really suited to them. There was a Legnum there which was auto and couldnt rip the hand brake because of the centre diff - funilly enough he pulled the quickest time of the day and it was his first day. As a RWD'er I pulled the hand brake at about 20 degrees into corner to tighten up the line and then use full power coming out towards the next cone - often hitting the limiter - but it sounded cool haha. It was good because most of my runs I actually had someone really good at it in the passenger seat talking me through it - a massive advantage.

When they were doing the front throws, it seemed the FWD's had the advantage, but then when they changed it to noughts and crosses the RWD's had it. I rode shotgun in a S14 pulling a 26 second run on noughts and crosses, that was insane!

I must add too, watching the "Inuendo" White S14A running the track was a pure pleasure to watch in person.
