Hi all, have been doing some homework before replacing the springs on my GTR.

From The Manual, Stock Spring Rates are 2.4kg/mm FRONT, 2.7kg/mm REAR.

The Tein S.Tech springs are 3.7kg/mm FRONT and 4.0kg/mm REAR. FulcrumTein

Common element: softer spring at the front.

But, it seems a lot of other setups have a common element of firmer spring at the front. eg: Tein Flex (UK) 8Front, 6 rear, and the commonly mentioned 6 Front, 5 rear.

To me it makes sense to have a firmer spring in the front where the majority of the weight is (as do others)

So, Question: Did Nissan and Tein get it wrong / both have misprints? OR am I missing something about the ratio of spring rates front/rear that differs from placid streeter to raging track machine?

Background: I like spririted driving, and I will eventually take it to the track, but it is mainly a daily driver. It is currently uncomfortable on brisbane roads. Currently has Koni adjustables (with circlips for height adjustment) and King Springs Front (3.2kg/mm apparently), HKS Springs Rear (apparently). Also sits a bit low due to spring sag. Want to replace the springs, but have questions...obviously!

Thanks in advance,

Fraser.
