2. the head, i read some where around 100 lb/in

3. the bolts which hold the con rods to the crank, i read in the 26 workshop manual 14 lb/in and then 60 to 65 degrees with an angle wrench, and i dont have an angle wrench.

i wouldnt be using rb26 torque settings on rb30 bolts, they are different sizes from memory. I have a vl commodore workshop manual in the shed ill grab it tommorow and post the specs up for the rb30 specific stuff unless someone else beats me to it.

If your using rb26 headbolts then use the 26 torque specs for them, but main bolts and rod bolts i would definately use the rb30 specs.

Dumb shit, the forum went down a few days ago. There have been posts about it.

TORQUE SETTINGS - for factory bolts, nuts, studs ect. Other manufactures such as ARP have their own torque settings that are listed on the box.

Cylinder head bolts - 10mm 'allen key' type bolt

1st stage - 29nm

2nd stage - 78 nm

3rd stage - loosen completely

4th stage - 29 nm

5th stage - 88 nm

Corner cylinder head bolts - 10mm hex nut

8 nm

Main bearing cradle bolts - 16mm IIRC

54 nm

Connecting rod bearing cap nut - 10mm iirc

1st stage - 16 nm

2nd stage - 44 nm
