It's amazing how many people pull over to sounds of sirens or any coloured lights, back when I was 18, my mate had a megaphone with a police siren on it that's it no red or blue lights nothing and we pulled over 5/5 cars...went to put petrol n what do you know cops come in and all they did was give us a warning for impersonating police

my mate got a fine for that few years back when he did the same think james...i guess you were very lucky or my mate was very unlucky to get a crap officer who caught him impersonating poilce...lol...fun times :P

    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.

    • Not sure yet.  Was considering speedtek because it was rated to 800hp, but when I did some research about him I don't think I will go for that馃ぃ So maybe giken gear set, but I'm afraid it won't be strong enough馃檮
    • Keeping in mind that for most people this is a week to month long job!
    • Its also worth mentioning that 30 years after it left the factory and god knows how many missed oil changes since, there is every possibility that one or more lifters are ticking because they are sticky/gummed up. To resolve that you need to pull the cams then pull each lifter, disassemble, clean, reassemble, soak in oil and re-install, and they should come up good as new.
