syfon
Hey guys, The rubbers around both my front and rear windscreens have perished over the 13years my car has been alive. As far as I know, they are not leaking yet. Does anyone know where I can go to get them replaced at a reasonable price? Cheers for any help Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/281057-front-rear-windscreen-rubbers/ Share on other sites
Nic_A31
Does anyone know where I can go to get them replaced at a reasonable price? ...... LOL If you do find someone, let me know. I need to replace all mine on the Ceffy and I'm thinking the stealership is the only option for such an uncommon import. I imagine you'd have a better chance finding one with a windshield mob for an R33 since theyre about as common as slappers in Northbridge on a Saturday night. PhilKenSebben
Dealerships should be able to source them. They are a two piece mould, one part sticks to the body then a second piece clips in after the glass is fitted. We can fit an aftermarket rubber mould but it will never be spot on and be aware that the glass will have to come out to do the job. This means your windscreen will almost certainly break, requiring a new one, and although a good fitter will not break toughened rear glasses on removal, they have an "all care but no responsibilty" policy. This moulding is however purely asthetic, the urethane is what seals the glass, so they can perish all they want and not affect the seal.
