Looking for cheapy black adjustable GT spoiler to go on the S13 before the DECA day on the 15th of August.

Not looking for anything super special just want some extra downforce over the rears in conjunction with some semi's I'm getting.

Needs to be complete and I'm happy to pay postage (I'm in albury wodonga) or can pickup if you're nearby plus will be in Melbourne on the weekend of the 8th so can collect depending where you are down that way. (completing transaction at DECA is also a possibility, I'll just bring tools to fit it :merli: )

Failing this I'll just go one of the cheapy eBay jobs but even they are a bit exxy so that should give you an idea of price.

I've got a few computer bits lying around for possible trade and I've got an as new S13 CA brake master cylinder and S15 brake booster in great condition also if that is of any interest.

reply, pm or gimme a buzz on 0427 928 304

Cheers

To be honest...

A spoiler at DECA is useless. You are not going fast enough round corners for any good quality spoiler to make any effect on traction, let alone a cheap spoiler.

The only time i used my spoiler at DECA was for "shits and giggles"; not to improve traction.

For a good quality spoiler to work, you need air speed, and you only get air speed when taking corners at speeds over 100km/h.

Just letting you know so that you don't waste your time and money for nothing. My spoiler only goes on for Show 'N Shines :merli:.

You're asking a couple months too late.

The old one i had, i gave away to a guy from my mechanic's w/shop because i got sick of tripping over it, in the shed. My current c/f looks too good at shows, and i need an excuse to justify the mounts on my boot ;)

Damn you ;)

Yes, it is mildly adjustable.

Black, lightweight aluminum and never been used (bought it for my car but it's too small for my liking).

Are you able to show me two pics, one showing each end of the adjustment scale, as in one pic showing max up and one showing max down so i can get an idea of how much adjustment we're talking. Also, how much are you after, are you in melb, do you want to post or are you happy for me to collect the weekend after this one coming or at deca etc etc.

Cheers

EDIT: What are the dimensions? Height and width

Edited by ActionDan

I can get pics and measurements to you on Monday. The wing is sitting in my workmate's office and he is away on a work trip this week.

I'd say it's about 10 - 14 inches high and maybe 1.5m wide. I could be wrong though.

I paid $180 new I think. It's still brand new so maybe $140? Or is that too much? I'm not too fussed.

Pick up is preferred but I can post it if need be.

Hey

I have a C-WEST full carbon fibre GT wing!!! I bought it for my car but I've sold the car so.....

I'm prepared to sell it for $300 ... lemme know if you are still looking for one....

in melbourne for pickup only...

Cheers

    • Yes...but look at the numbers. There is a tiny tiny fraction of the number of Joules available, compared to what is used/needed. Just because things are "possible" doesn't make them meaningful.
    • Thanks for taking the time to post that ! If anything changes or happens please do update us.
    • Somehow Vertimass/Oak Ridge National Labs has figured out a catalyst that can convert ethanol into C9-C10 hydrocarbons in basically a single step without ending up with a bunch of ethylene or similar waste products: https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2023224867A1/en I still don't think anything like this will keep us from needing to transition to EVs regardless along with all kinds of other electrification, but things like this will go a long way towards alleviating the problem of how to electrify things like planes. Renewable diesel is seemingly an easier problem as well, Chevron is already running refineries for the stuff and the primary feedstock is tallow and other waste fats from agriculture.
    • Ok so I have sorted everything with my uniclutch and  i can offer up a bit of feedback and some things that might help others.    I found problems with factory damper line. Weird shit and had trouble with peddle adjustment    I used this https://au.gktech.com/products/r33-gts-t-skyline-braided-clutch-line?_pos=2&_sid=22b01b9b9&_ss=r Also when adjusting peddle leave a bit of play. You can get into a over stroke condition easy.. Make sure you can push the slave forward after adjusting to confirm fluid can return to master then you will need to pump it up heaps…..not sure why but that’s how it is.    last thing the splined adapter is machined perfectly. If your input shaft is old like mine was I would put a bit of valve grinding paste on it and stroke it like a 15 year old. Just to give it a tad more clearance and to better match it to the spline.    reason is on a near flat shift I have had situation where the peddle returns a millisecond after you lift from the clutch. No slip or anything but I reckon this is due to tolerance on the spline being way tighter than stock clutch and binding for a sec. I think this will go away but also my spline was old. Box is old so I guess I should have checked better. It’s a super neat fit.    it feels light as and holds awesome without any noise
