Well what a great day it turned out to be!! The weather was fantastic for the track overall, glad I didn't call it off after a few showers early in the morning.

Took a little bit of time adjusting to the track in manual (last time i took it, it was auto) but got it down after a couple sessions. And im well impressed how tyre pressures affect the way the car felt!

Big thanks to Andrew for lending me the tyre pressure gauge a few times, 36/38 hot seemed to do the trick in the end. Was hoping to get my lap times around 1:32 this time round from 1:35/36 I was getting last time out. Then my brother came back to the pits and informed me i was doing between 1:30 and 1:31 throughout 3rd and 4th session, and recording a best of 1:29.89 in the 4th. Fairly stoked with that on street tyres and approx 190rwkw (will confirm on 15th ;))

Only downside was that ill be chasing after some new rear tyres as it was a bitch trying to keep em from spinning out of turns.

Got a bunch of pics and some vids ill be posting later on when i go through em and pick the good ones.

as far as im aware he was running around 1:17 most of the day, and i think he may have recorded a 1:15 near the end, not sure... gonna have to wait till he checks in ;)

but yeah... it absolutely flew.

Indeed it was a great day today - good to see some familiar faces again and meet some new people as well. I ended up running a 1:15:.03 weaving in and out of traffic - sure was fun! The car still has more left in it - I need to set it up properly from now and I look forward to going even quicker.

For those of you who are thinking about titanium exhausts, mine was $800....... there are bargains to be had!

That is fantastic news Blue32, great time!!

Look forward to the next event guys, hopefully would have had a few things tweekd and an oil cooler on by this time.

Blue32, where did you get the titanium exhaust from?

Thanks mate - I'm pretty happy with the time too! I got the exhaust of another forum member here in the for sale section ;)

The day didn't turn out too bad considering. I was really dissapointed in my car. Found out on the day that my clutch fan is completely screwed, so I was getting too hot half way through the session. I had to take it easy for about 2 laps to let it cool a bit so I could give it some stick again.

Also, the tyres that I normally buy, they've stopped making so I had to buy different this time, (which I was spewin with considering I absolutely loved my other ones). So I bought some proxes4's, which really let me down. Didn't like them at all, even in the hills they're terrible, way too much tyrewall flex. I had them on the rear and the back end felt like something was loose. So I put them on the front and I lost response on the front end but at least the rear felt better. Then just before the 4th session when I started the car I could hear this airey noise from near my turbo and realised "Great! my exhaust manifold is warped" Hopefully it's just the gasket. You could hear the exhaust coming out when you revved it a bit.

I was spewin! In the end I just got the shits on and said that's it. I didn't want anything else to go wrong. Just watched the 5th session and left.

Also one of my mate's aircon pipes was too close to his dump pipe and it melted through and made a massive white cloud when all the gas escaped(when I was behind him I thought it was him locking a wheel). When we got into the garage we noticed his left windscreen waterjet leaking water and hissing, which we thought was a bit weird, so we popped the bonnet and the a/c pipe had caught on fire! It also melted his oxy sensor wires and they were shorting and sparking! At least we saw it in time so it didn't bubble any paint or anything. But far out! What an eventfull day.

I took my car too drift school and was worried that drift would be worse for my car that grip but I'm not sure anymore. ;) I went to the school and not one thing went wrong. But I spose your not pushing it too the limit in drift.

And that was my 1st grip day experience, I think I'm going to be traumatised for life. Sitting in a corner, rocking back and forth, just repeating under my breath "no more grip days, no more grip days" Haha. It was still a good day though. I did enjoy it. It was good meeting you Andrew and sorry I never caught up with you Mark, as you can see we had enough too keep us occupied. Cheers for the good pics Steve, I've already saved them haha.
