Hi all,

Inquiring if any one can help out with a few questions about Nismo edition Skyline's?

I have a 2001 ER34 GTT Nismo Bay side blue that I got a company in Sydney to import over from Japan for me about 4 years ago, now 36000k on the clock. I only drive her about once a week if that due to a busy working lifestyle, but now things have slowed down due to the economy so have I! and so will the money lol. Got mates with all tuning and testing tools for what ever upgrades I want to do, but we would like to know a few things before we start boosting her up or changing any parts. We tested the boost @ 11 Psi and the thing has never been tampered with, no boost controller she is all stock apart from the HPI stainless steel bell-mouth Dump, HPI Stainless dual front pipe, X-Force-3" high flow cat converter, Kakimoto 06&R cat back exhaust system

Questions

Did Nissan produce a factory GTT Nismo?

If so! Dose anyone know spec’s on the turbo/engine?

Do they have steel turbines or ceramic?

Factory Boost Psi?

Engine components/forged pistons?

doubt it

get your vin number up or pm it so someone so they can fast it for you . do you know that you can re arrange the factory pipes to raise the boost or someone could have drilled out the restrictor and it will run 12 psi and look completlly stock

We have had a good look over it and it has not been messed with. arranging the pipes will only give you 1/2 Pis lift, we look into that one at the start.

I actually remember this car when it was first advertised, funnily enough.

Given that it was a very late build (January '02) I suspect that Nissan did with the R34 what they did with many R33s - built some run-out specials using Nismo parts in order to clear out the last of the stock. Following this theory, I suspect you'll find any Nismo parts on the car were cosmetic rather than performance-enhancing.

Cool car though, and very rare just as it is.

Hey buddy, I've got a really late 2001 Model series 2 supposedly "Nismo" Bayside Blue GTT aswell, but from what i know there is no such thing as a 'Nismo GTT'. All series 2 GT-t's do come with steel wheel turbines unlike series 1 er34's which have nylon compressor wheels. There's not much info about Series 2 NEO RB25det's and their steel wheel turbos, but i've driven three stock ones and they all seem to hit just under a bar of boost.

These series 2 GT-T's also have more torque due to the extra boost.

Series 2: 37.0 kg*m (362.85 N*m) / 3200 rpm

Series 1: 35.0 kg*m (343.23 N*m) / 3200 rpm

Sweet thanks for the info, So do we know if they have a steel wheel turbine?
