Its not a demo, it was a customers car who bought it originally from Nissan Werribee. He had an Audi R8 V8 originally, but sold it to buy the V10 version, but changed his mind and bought a new Audi S8 and this GTR was traded in.

Maybe he traded his GTR in for an Audi R8? :P

My fault - I misread the ad.

So - this guy ended up with a massive S8 sedan, no GT-R and no R8 or R8 V10 - mmmm, rivetting story.

At least we can guess that his favourite colour is silver, I'm pretty sure I'm correct there

R35 GTRs are great cars but dont kid yourselves, they are not very nice as daily drivers around town.

This buyer has obviously been tempted by all the hype & tried it for a little while, but after a month or so

of using it regularly & seeing how little he got to go for it on the freeway or race track & how much of a

compromise it was on the luxury of the R8 (or any other luxury German sports sedan) he has opted out

& gone back to the opulence & style of a European car. 90% of the time he is right. Its hard to say but

unfortunately most people will never understand the pleasure of daily cruising in a $200k+ luxury car.

I was almost there with my BMW 550i ($190k) & a lot of the time I miss it dearly but took the plunge

to buy the R35. I am a bit more hardcore than the average businessman & am prepared to make that

sacrifice for the sake of performance in the hills ( & the odd time I get to destroy someone on the way to

work - I do have the rare pleasure of a nice 90+ zone on the way there with a few 3 lane wide traffic lights

that often turn red just before I get to them!!! Ha Ha.) but for most it is just too much of a pain to live with

& I can understand this guys decision to go for an S8 or similar.

$100k. ??? What the hell are you smoking mate? Must be good. Or maybe you are just trying to get your posts up.

We have been seeing a few of these lately. Keep you hands off the keyboard & back on your ......

compared to using a worked solid mounted '58 Beetle with no sound deadening as a daily driver for 7 yrs, i recon the 35 GTR would be a limo to drive every day....guess it all depends what your used to and how deep your pockets are to play with choices.

160k is a pretty normal price

lol this is parked right where I catch the tram to work every day.

took a pic today...

:P You should have edited in a beam of light from the sky highlighting it instead of the arrows

His name isn't Ross is it?

just saw this thread and i am amazed about much i am assuming this guy has ripped up. If he can afford it i say more power to him but at the same time i am glad it is him and not me :):(

all nice cars but giving back an R35....... that would take some will power..

or a smart investment plan and a bloody good accountant.
