Should i try it or get find someone who has done it before. she wants to get HIDs and wants me to fix her headlights before she gets them. how many of you have actually done this and what should i keep inmind when i do this. what kinda sealent/glue should i use coz it says to heat it up and reuse the original glue. maybe someone who has done it before can help me do this

done this few times on FTO's, supra, R33 etc, easy as jelly:

1) take clips off -if they dont come off put in oven with clips on

2) leave in oven for few mins

3) take out, (take clips off if haven't already)

4) check glue is hot/melting

5) try split apart (screwdriver or the like)

if it doesnt, put back in for few mins more and repeat til u get apart.

closing back up:

use same glue just heat it up so glue is sticky again, squeeze together, make sure its sealed all over, put clips on finished.

tip: play it safe rather than leave in oven for too long keep taking them out and checking on them if reflective paint fades/cracks spray on chrome is your friend.

Sunny, don't even think about it. You know what your like with DIY

Take the headlights out, turn them face down, and use a hair dryer to evaporate all the water out from the back. Either that, or drill a hole in the bottom for it all to drain out.
