Please feel free to add to this if i have left anything out.

I have been looking through the forums and have noticed that alot of people are wanting to do this mod. I have put a small DIY together to try and help with the rewiring of the unit with a basic diagram.

After removing the Xanavi screen, you will need to splice the some longer wires onto the triple cluster loom so to be able to enter the engine bay

and connect the oil temp sensor and boost sensor as shown in the following attachment. (Note the boost and oil temp sensors cannot connect direct to ECU as these sensors are different)

The second and easiest option is to use the factory loom Part Number: 24018-AA500. To do this you will need to remove the main cluster about 7 screws from memory. Now this should be as simple as plug and play to the factory loom. (Please note i have not verified this method as yet but as Nissan only make one Main Loom for the GTT the plug should be there)

I hope the above helps someone and as last stated if something is wrong please correct me...

I can also help with MFD conversion into R32, R33, R34 Skyline Turbo or non turbo. Easy to follow DIY to come..

do you have any idea how to put GTR MFD to R34 non-turbo? do i have to cut the dashboard?

thanks

pretty sure the little panel unscrews just like the GTT , remove the air vents to see ? two phillips head screws are hidden behind it and slide it out towards you. the wiring is taped down on the harness .

still trying to ponder why you would ditch the screen rather then use a Computer input to display the gauges in digital format but to each his own ?

i got a deal for MFD, it cost me total 400. instead of ugly gauges i pillar A, i'll put 3-way sound system. but my R34 25gt didnt have any gauges in the middle dash. and there are no marks for me to open the dashboard and gain access to gauges mounting brackets. might as well cut the middle dash with dremel and create new brackets?
