Guy's i rolled my window down yesterday and heard a bang and the window dropped to the bottom of the door! opened it all up today and turns out the steel wire running through the loops in the power window assembly (if you've opened the door up you'll know what i'm talking about) was snapped in the middle!

Now is it worth trying to source out individual parts etc or just get the whole assembly? All i could find today was one on ebay in brisbane ... I can't keep my car with the window open on the street and I'm not able to temporarily hold the window up as well as I've taken the motor etc out.

Someone with a spare assembly or contacts? pls help! (tried searching but the search function keeps giving a database error)

Thanks guys

From your Avatar i am guessing r32????

Use a couple of lengths of wood to hold the glass up. See is you could slide the wood inside the door and somehow wedge them into place.

If you can't find a 2nd hand item, try contacting a brake/accelerator cable business to make you a new cable. I know there is a company that makes accelerator cable on Mt Alexandra Rd, Flemington. Have no idea of the business name.
