Hey i'm wanting to put a RB25det NEO into my R31 silhouette and was wondering if there are any major problems with doing this or if the engine would even fit under my bonnet. I was planning to get a R34 half cut and doing a manual conversion as well, was there any major issues in doing this.

If anyone has done this before some info would be great:)

conversion is pretty easy ive done it to my s3 wagon, umm cant think of any major obstacles i came across, you need to use the rb30 engine mounts and mounting brackets, and you'll also need to make up your own gearbox cross member mount... nothing different from an rb25 engine swap im pretty sure... the gear stick comes up in pretty much the right position and the engine sits nicely in the engine bay, nothing sits too high and there is plenty of room in front of the engine if you wish to go with twin thermos... it doesn't look out of place in any respect

dont go thermos, keep the stocker clutch fan and shroud, much better and all fits nicely if you use 31 mounts. also going from your profile yours is a s3 auto, in which case your stock auto gbox xmember will bolt up the 25 box no worries. will need a 33/vlt yoke on a manual tailshaft or a custom single piece
