if its installed correctly its legal but the best bet is the check with your car insurance company cos i know each one have different polices etc.

Like a turbo timer its not illigal to have one . as long as its installed with the Nutural lock * as well as PARK on autos *

The laws come down to , not allowed to leave your car running unattended. same as a turbo timer, your not ment to leave your car running and simply walk away from it

It would have no doubt been brought about by someone suing the maker of their remote start system for damage to their car. Yet another case of idiots + lawyers = pain in the arse for the rest of us.

I have an autowatch alarm with the remote start and what i have been told it's illegal for you to be out of the car when it is going weather its a turbo timer or remote start if your not in the car so it falls under the same law. By the way it's pretty funny when you leave your car in gear then go to show your mates how your remote start works, just dont park close to gutters
