So i removed the engine from my gtst and with an empty bay, realised how discustingly ugly it was and wondered what i could do to make it look pritty(within reason)

A mate of mine suggested welding up all the unsightly holes griding them flat and filling it in with body filler.

A month down the track after all the hard work was complete i spoke to the guy at the local paint supplies who informed me that the body filler i was using is far too rigid to be used in an engine bay

:)

So what im wondering is if there is a product that i can use over top of the filler ive allready used as ive spent somewhere around 40 straight hours over the last month sanding and filling and sanding and filling etc etc

any help will grant you special access to the vip area in the afterlife .......... :):(:(

If he is right, then it will crack im guessing. And it will just crack underneath this magical product you want to put over the top. And in turn will lift the paint.

If it was me, just go with it, you've done it now. And it will probly be fine! Give it a few thick coats of primer, and then paint away. Im pretty sure most people use regular body filler when they de-loom and smooth over their engine bays!

Yip na its confirmed hahahaha my engine bays gana look like crap. After numerous calls to different local body shops and paint suppliers i found they all had the same solution.

1 Hammer

1 Flathead or chisel

Im still sorta contemplating whether i should just start again

Meh well c wat happens
