Missfiring?

how long ago did u change the spark plugs? if it was recent its most likely coil packs.

p.s. they aint cheap too

Hey all,

I took my car for a short drive to the Galleria and back this morning and it started missfiring on idle and pretty much throughout the whole rev-range.

Now I did install a new clutch saturday just gone, and i have been playing around with the boost via my EBC, however it wasn't missing or boost-cutting/spiking at all....and then this morning it has just started to missfire?!

I changed the spark plugs/oil & filter about 3weeks ago and have never had this problem. I turned my EBC off (to set the boost back to standard) and it kept missing.

I am guessing it may be a problem with the coil pack or something along those lines?

I have spare coilpacks if you want to test yours.

Think it has to be aseries 1 rb25 to fit rb20 coils though?

Sounds like coilpacks or a ignitor within a coilpack. Check wiring harness and connections for both, coilpacks and injectors aswell.

The only other things that it may be is a shitty injector.

Well i pulled apart the coil packs, checked all the connections etc and put it back together and it is still missing. So tomorrow im going to change the plugs

I changed the plugs prob 4weeks ago, so maybe 1000-1200kms ago?

I hope it aint coil packs lol

Thanks for the offer Greg, however the issue has now been resolved. Was just the coil packs playing up, all good now
