HKS SSQ BOV: Adjustment

Guys,

I need some help regarding the adjustment of my HKS SSQ BOV. The car has a slight back fire on decell, or when closing throttle. From reading alot of threads regarding aftermarket bov's, i have come to the conclusion that it is because the bov is not set up correctly. As the car came with this on it, and there is no info on the web..... HOW DO YOU ADJUST IT... do you screw the bolt in, or undo? which of the two does what?

If anyone knows, please help.....steve, sydney kid, Dr drift,you guys seem to know alot.

bolt in makes it harder to open bolt out makes it softer(easier) to open

backfires are a fact of life with atmo bovs, i get em all the time

it is normal. the fuel mixtures run rich when you snap the throttle closed and air is vented atmospherically. Therefore backfire

Its called overfuelling i think. The ecu still thinks there is air there when you back off cause the factory BOV plums it back in. HKS one vents to atms so there is no air thus unused fuel makes its way into the hot exhaust and gets burnt. Can be fixed with SAFC i pressume.
