But it was definitely one of those "Hey this is a once in a lifetime opportunity things - should we do it?" And I'm so glad we did. It was awesome fun and I think it's even changed both of our ways we think about cars / motorsport as well.

How so Snowy? About what cars you drive (modified road car vs pretty much dedicated race built cars), or what motorsport you do?

The only thing that really changed in my thinking was i need to pick up a job in Europe instead of Asia so i can play on these cool tracks more.

With regards to the cars, it only reinforced my belief that a basic light car with no electronics are far more entertaining to drive. They are also more interesting and rewarding to get speed out of. The thing would have 110rwkws at best yet was by far and away the most enjoyable and rewarding car i have ever driven. So my desire for an Elise or Exige is stronger then ever for the next car

datsun 1600 with stroked L18 or stroked L20 ...

or take the power steering and ABS out of your R32?

Just watched the Spa race on OneHD, looks like an awesome track!

How much are they worth ? Could be real interested.

And my R32 doesnt have ABS, though it does have PS though there is little difference in the steering effort since the Caterham is so light with so little tyre

And after almost 3 weeks of goodness, i am now back at work in India!

Yeah look - I'd really like to spend some more time in a less electronically controlled car. Although - I'm happy to keep ABS but I'd really like to spend some more time in RWD. I found I tended to turn in WWAAAYYYY to early in the Caterham simply because I didn't trust the rear end (and knew I didn't have the magic ATTESSA to get me out of trouble should it arrive).

But I definitely think a light weight RWD car can be as fast as our fat GT-R's (as Newton is starting to prove already) and I think the experience of driving something like that can greatly help improve me as a driver anyways. I know what I want to build - it's just going to be some time before that happens so I will be sticking to what I know for a while anyways.
