Brandon
Thats not good! Didnt you notice that before the tune? Thats the last thing I want, being all happy to get the car into a better shape only to find out something is wrong with it and require fixing prior... Hope you get that fixed soon. I found a 2nd hand pfc locally and just bought the boost kit from access (cant be bothered waiting 1 month for it to come from japan). Bought Catco 3" and HKS front pipe arrived today... look damn good! Hopefully everything will be here by Tues and I can go for tuning on Wed if not the following week. GT-R32
I noticed it Sunday and thought WTF? I guess I was in denial. It's only a recent thing. They didn't sort the clutch out entirely either so all round a bit of a fizzer. Keep us posted on what happens with you Brandon. DAN00H
Not good that the turbo shat itself, at least it should to be too horrendous to have it rebuilt. I honestly feel my car performs better with the M's pods over the airbox (which makes sense when you take into account the surface area of the filters and the mouth design of the pods against the stock box). Critical thing is the get pods separated from the hot engine bay. Brandon
yea... clutch is another tricky 1. I dont know how well mine's gonna hold after the tune. I was told it should be fine until 350kW. Tricky to install too due to multi plates I was told yesterday. Hopefully it'll hold out. Do you know what it is exactly? Brandon
Nope. I would have thought its stock. When I said it'll be fine until 350kW I mean not abused. Brandon
Cool! Mind sharing your full list of mods (e.g. exhaust system, boost level etc)? Buts its nice to see another proven example of having factory injectors running that kinda power. I guess you just gotta becareful when you bring it on trackand make sure it doesnt go over 99% or 100% duty. Brandon
Great. Similiar to what I've got. Very promising for me Hey just on the Regu 06, have you got it tested? What dB is your system? I would love to know that cause I'm thinking of getting that to replace the 1 I have now. What clutch are you running? Deano 1
Nah mate. Havnt had it tested. But it is a very nice zorst system, perfect on the freeway u can sit in the car and talk to the person sitting beside you and if you have anyone in the back u can talk with ease. Normal street driving is great, and when u open her up it really roars at you in the high revs. Best zorst system ive ever had on any of my lines. And im running a ORC twin plate clutch, pritty good so far. Grabs up really well, has been put through many 6k launchs. Fairly Noisey but, when the clutch is in you can hear them rattling quite abit, but i spose its the same for most twin plates. cheers mate : D Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/282238-z32-afm-required-for-300kw/page/3/#findComment-4781900 Share on other sites
R31Nismoid
Interestingly I was told by the bloke tuning it that the stock air box will be a restriction when it's fixed, that it should see over 300rwkw with my turbos but the air box will keep it to 260/270rwkw. specifically put it back on as the pods were rooted. Thing is on here we've seen people on here with upwards of 340rwkw with them, so yeah I dunno. R32 one isnt the greatest R33/R34 - EASILY 350rwkw through the stock airbox. Aaron34 & Snowman both have stock R34 Airboxes, near on 400rwkw Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/282238-z32-afm-required-for-300kw/page/3/#findComment-4781921 Share on other sites
Duncan
I have a 32 with stock airbox, 260awkw @12psi and 310awkw @18psi. Its not an issue up to there at least. In fact all intake including cooler is stock. Nissan looked after us engineering these cars.... I'm really tempted to buy that to replace the trust ti-r if after putting the dump/front pipe on it becomes even louder... I would love 300rwkw but anything over 260rwkw is a bonus. Got a turbo (and more importantly clutch - hopefully today!) issue to sort out now anyway. Brandon
The truth is out... Sadly it made 340hp at all 4 and thats 255awkw. Will post the graph up tomorrow when I've scanned it. Injectors were around 90% so I guess its a really safe tune. Overall although it didnt make what I expected, I'm happy with the response. Its way smoother to drive now.
