So there are relatively cheap 2530s going for sale, they have the diamond shaped inlet indicative of being off an SR engine.

Are they a big deal to fit to an rb20det setup or is the gear readily available to make it all fit ?

the flange is different - you'll need to have an adapter plate made up and so on, moving things like oil lines, dumps meaning anything you have now is useless generally. etc etc

IMO not worth the effort.

my quick sums there $500-$700 worth of extra

labour/parts than just buying the correct one to start with

not to mention the turbine housing is setup to suit 4 cylinder split pulse setup

ie on an inline6 non split pulse it might run like ass - who knows

point is - as 1400r said - why bother?

far too often in the last 1-2 years

we are seeing each week, some random guy buys or trys to buy a random turbocharger

or random car parts from another model and hopes they will fit or its easy to fit

there are so many aftermarket parts for the skyline, why on earth, would you bother

picking a part to suit another car to try and make it fit - so not worth it, it never is

Well depends on how cheap you can get the turbo for. You can bring us a 2nd hand T25G/T28 .64 turboine housing with your turbo and we can machine it to suit your new turbine wheel for about $150.
