Hi all,

Last weeek Ben was over plugging in datascan to my car to chase a cold start issue. While he was over he pointed out my front rotors are up for replacement... Whats the best way to tell? Their is a lip on them but ive seen larger on other cars. Whats the minimum wear thickness for the front and rear rotors on a series 1 rs4v? They dont pullsate at all when coming to a stop.

Ill be replacing the fronts with 32 gtst slotted's as i hear their a direct bolt on and then the rears im unsure of.

Cheers guys.

Not sure of what the min thickness is for the rotors but just give a brake shop a call they'll be able to look it up and tell you what the min thickness is. I used S14 DBA slotted rotors on the front of my series one and I imported a set of Dixcel rotors for the rear from Japan, I used Japanparts.com to bring them in for me. I didn't get slotted for the rear but Dixcel do a slotted for the rear of the stagea. Dixcel also do a front slotted rotor as well (and if they price of their rear rotors are anything to go by then I'd say the front slotted would be cheaper than the DBA part, but I'd already ordered mine :P ) Go to www.dixcel.co.jp (use google to translate) and get the part number (can be a bit tricky to navigate) or just go to importmonster.com and search for them on there, they are always there. I found japanparts.com to be very fast and they got a good price too.

Chris, most rotors have the minimum thickness stamped into the hats so you can clearly tell when to have them replaced... Have a look at your rotors and you should see it stamped on there somewhere.

Ive got a set of slotted front rotors here, near new

for sale $100

:(

Dibs on rotors if mine a shagged... what are they brendan? Still plenty of k's in them? Any ideas what fit the rears? Were in need of a catchup anyway!

yeah they arnt going anyway matey

got them a year ago to machine down OD for the rears and make fit, but havent worried about it

rears are stock discs with bendix pads and maltech braided lines

these slotted near new rotors were taken off from a R33 front cut - it may have been GTR, I cant recall, or GTS-t

havent used them, just sitting here collecting surface rust. look new to me. also look same size, or close to it, to my current dba slotted front rotors.

trial fitment I say.
