Yeah it didn't eventuate cause I had to leave early. The plan was there though...I woulda told you to come if we'd actually gone out afterwards!

LOL suits and white socks ftw. To whoever got the maintenance pack, use that oil wisely...it's the best stuff you can get and you can't buy it anywhere in Vic :P

I got the oil but I traded my prize pack (number 1) with TJ who won prize pack number 2. Prize pack number 2 was more suited to us and TJ was happy to swap... LEGEND!

As for the oil I only use Castrol products and I have a lifetimes supply in the garage... So TJ you can enjoy that... :P

Thanks for a great night y'all. Worked out really well.

It was too bad I had to leave a bit early, but priorities are important :D Disappointed I didn't hear Dean speak though.

That's a shame mate...he didn't really talk that much up front, moreso came around to each table meeting everyone which I thought was better than the usual podium work - if you didn't get a chance to speak to him throughout the night then you sure did miss out, he was a great guy :3some:

Thanks to everyone that came along.

I think even I was surprised how good the night was.

With a rather lack lustre response for ticket sales early one, some issues going on during planning/execution…

I was a bit reserved about the level of success this event might have.

However…

- Food was brilliant

- Room/lighting/features were amazing, certainly much better than I anticipated

- Dean Canto was also a great sport/guest to have along. He melded perfectly into the group, people and was a really great/decent guy to just talk to be it formally during his chats, or informally as he went around the tables/pre-drinks etc etc

- Oh, and the beers were cold, love cold beer :P

So in reality it was leagues better than I expected, and the level of fun, smiles and comments about the event from people on the night easily lets me say that it was very sucessful

I will do an official tally of the money raised tonight/tomorrow

However im 100% sure it is over $1,000. It could almost be $1,200…

Now for an event with 57 people attending, to raise over $1,000 for the Pricess Charlotte Alopecia Foundation is nothing short of a great effort.

Even Dean was surprised at the generousity of club members and the quality of prizes that were donated by all the supporters of this event (thanks to everyone there too)

All in all a great night. I've learnt a few things from this, and have some idea's for next year should we decide to have another event similar to this.

I would like to have another, but like all things it comes down to members supporting it - so hopefully this event proves what Committee can do outside of a car, and we have a bigger and better event next year

Awesome Night, I have the biggest hangover ever. It's 3pm and I'm still in bed....

*pointsandlaughs* :P

Cheers to you and Newton for cruising off ahead and scouting somewhere for us all to go out afterwards.

The night was fantastic - thanks to everyone who came along and made it a great night!!

Oh and stress balls FTW!!

      So, good news and bad news Bad news first: The intake plenum is lost in the mail apparently, I haven't paid for it yet, and MX5 Mania are still chasing it up, farking 'Merica postal service  Good news: Any retune will be free if and when it turns up,  I'm still keen for them to throw it on The car goes noticeably better, with only the typical initial take off thingie from a choppy cam and manual transmission, but giving it just a little more RPM than before gives it a smooth take off (and hour or so of peak hour traffic sorted that little skill out) Car made around 145kwatw & 225Nm (Intake may get me to 150kw, maybe....🤣) Weirdly, 145kwatw is the same max power that my standard 2015 WRX STI made a few years ago The cam really comes alive from around 3.5k and keeps making power and holds it flatish all the way to 7k, whereas before torque would drop hard around at 4.5k Drive home was sadly in peak hour, although I did get a little clean air here and there to wind out 1st and 2nd a little bit, and whilst the gains aren't anything for the "boosted boys" to be impressed at, the thing is a blast to drive The sound in the vid is poor, as it is in a undercover yard at work, but, outside, in the wild, it sounds awesomeballs to my ears with all the choppyness I consider it money very well spent for the outcome  Cam specs for reference (Basically the biggest you can fit with stock pistons) 20250417_171807.mp4   LOL, I don't think I will ever grow up

      Swap the injectors around and see what happens. If the misfire follows the injectors then that's a signal, if it doesn't it's probably not the injectors.

      R33 with RB26 seems to go off of learned voltage for idle. Seemed like whatever the baseline voltage was once ECU first gains power will be the idle voltage. With ignition on unplug/replugging the TPS would relearn the idle TPS voltage.

      Have you confirmed the 2 pin coolant temp sensor on the motor is working properly? I've had a very similar issue when I forgot to plug mine back in many years ago.
