What specks did Kip build it to?

I asked for the biggest wheels that would sensibly fit, on a bush core. Very similar to the skyline rebuilds he does. It could be good for 250? Im not sure the box would take it though.

the box should be fine

,mine is all a-ok with 240rwkw

and I expect the auto to be as fine with another 25rwkw thrown on top

over time it may get a little loose, but nothing like changing a clutch every few yrs

perhaps in a decades time she may need a rebuild or strengthen up but that'd be about it.

service it regularly with good fluids along with shift kit and you'll be alright

nice turbo. bush bearing tho? went from bush highflow "2530-size" to ball bearing highflow "2835-size", massive difference in power delivery

Im not sure which box is in the 34's, are they the same as M35? Mine was slipping badly when I took it in, needed a full rebuild with extra clutches fitted and valve body. Kewish are not sure it can take that much at the wheels.

Main problem with the ball bearing cores seems to be the excess heat in such a confined spot under the engine. I am hoping to get good life out of this one.

scotty,

That looks great.

Do you know how big it is built, ie. Gt30 or Gt25. It looks a bit smaller than Danny's.

Can you say what the cost was?

Cheers

Andy

Its about gt30 size, not that ive seen one close up. It would be about 2 inch inlet I guess.

All we can go by is what those same wheels punch out on an rb, around 250awkw. Im sure with the weird standard exhaust manifold, there will be more restriction.

I guess we will see the outcome soon, I will have to get it back on the dyno straight away.

well, one is a 4 speed, the other is a 5 speed to begin with. i dont think jatco made the C34 box either, whereas they manufactured ours.

Pretty sure Nisaan have been using Jatco boxes in Skylines/Stageas since S3 R31's

whats similar is that they are auto stags with highflows....... its all the same basic principles / theories.

S1, S2, M35, all stags with the varied stagea features, auto boxes are auto boxes, and high flows are highflows. again a variety in types..... :)

    • Hi...a little refresh. Is Nistune gonna be enough to run BoV? Or do i need some proper ECU?
    • Yep that's pretty much what I want to see. Racecars that look and sound like the Group A but with newer tech underneath to make them faster and safer. I'm sure there's enough VK-to-VN commodore, E30 BMWs and Foxbody mustangs shells around to make up a decent number of cars with hopefully a couple of sierras, rx7 and R31s in there too.
    • Contact Jessestreeter.com/Skevas Racing/JustJap for a new r34 rb gearbox or go a cd00# conversion. No point playing with unknown condition gearboxes.
    • Such a shame places like Amaroo Park have been redeveloped, smaller tracks always make for good racing. Cheers for sharing @PranK there's some good Lakeside video's too. Its so hard with older the cars as parts are so rare and everything was made for a particular chassis at that point in time. Even the V8 Supercar Blueprint era cars are all different between each chassis within a team as they learnt things and made improvements. The COTF cars between each Chassis builder is different too especially motor/oil systems/intakes. The Group A stuff is worth so much too especially chassis with good history. The only way to do it would be composite panels and similar engine drivelines to the original cars. Ford sierra running Focus RS driveline, Commodore running a short stroke LS/LT or a Falcon with coyote and a H Pattern dog box. Could use a standard ecu across all models with a Torque Map and DBW for parity which is not even used in Supercars currently. Hell a TCM is almost a full chassis car these days and the suspension is not even close to standard style in the front running cars.
