If the dates didn't clash, I'd be there.

I do want to come down for a play at Wakefield again, its been about 5 years since the last time. I think that was for the inaugural NSW drift titles..... 4th place! had to beat Beau Yates in the top 16, HAHAHA he got disqualified for doing skids in the pits.

When is the next Wakefield day, I'll put it on the calender now!

So i had a bit of a slow weekend on the car but got heaps of other stuff done.

I have sorted the isolator issues out, big thanks to Damo. I will finish off the cables during the week and try and get it powered up next weekend.

I have attached a little pic of the inside showing the slow progress , it is not all finished off but you get the idea, check out my little helpers.

Cheers,

Good to see the safety inspectors are hard at work!

"Can you see a harness belt on your side? I can't find this one!"

"NOPE! Nothing here either...... and should this switch be connected to something?"

"Hmmm, those *COTOS need a good kick in the ass!"

No drives as yet i have lost voltage to the fuel pump? I trimmed a lot of fat out of the rear harness and now i think i have trimmed out a earth for the fuel pump relay. I have 12.2 volts at the fuse and 12.2 volts between pins 1 and ground and 3 and ground but pin 2 is not a good ground so the relay is not getting switched so to send power to the FPCM. I only have about 2 bar of fuel pressure when i pick the revs up slightly, if i just leave it idle the revs fall over and it stalls fuel pressure drops off to 1 bar.

I don't want to just connect pin 2 to earth as i think it is meant to earth through the ignition switch ( pin 1 is powered by the ecm and earthed through the ignition switch, i think?) i dont want to affect anything else in the system. At the moment i am just running the one walbro in tank pump as i have been for a while but the second pump is sitting in the boot ready for power, i just want to sort out this one first and then use the switching signal for both relays.

I am also having troubles getting the rpm signal for the stack dash, pin 7 on the ecm is the output for the tacho but there is no wire there? the stack manual said to just hook it up to the ignition circuit and set the parameters in the dash but this did not work?

I am going to spend all day on it again today so let me know any thoughts.

Cheers.

yeah true I guess, but it's a race car. I just earthed the relay and don't leave the car on IGN too often.

Alternatively considering yours is ground up rewire, just earth the fuel pump relay through a dash switch so you can control pumps on or off.

Problem sorted, I ended up pining out all the wires in the fuel pump system and found that the air regulator module inside the left hand rear quarter was not connected :D I must have unplugged it when I was stuffing around with the power antenna. What a great way to waits 5 hrs of stuffing about. O well now I have a nice 4.0 bar of fuel pressure before startup and the car still operates like a std one.

Once i have put it all back together i will post some pics.
