Good morning everyone,

i did a quck search and couldnt find what i was after.

I was just wondering if parts that are reccommended for turbo cars could be used for N/A?? Example, exhaust system on JustJap suited for 'R34 GTT coupe' ... would that work/fit a 'R34 GT25 N/A coupe/sedan'

Sorry if question sounds a little silly, just something i don't quite understand.

Thankyou in advance!

Owen.

Do a search on this forum for exhaust and there's plenty of info. Bascially it comes down to volumetric efficiency. Yes 3" will work but response down low is sacrificed. I could go into it in further detail but my flight is boarding now lol

thanks for reply's guys.

i should of made myseld more clear, the exhaust was an example, i have seen parts like, aftermarket pods, silicone hoses, radiator pipes, fuel flters, fuel pumps etc. that say it is for GTT or GTS-T, i would like to know in general if all these types of parts fit/will work with N/A skylines (r33, r34) as well.

Sorry for not making myself clear everyone! hope question makes more sense now.

Cheers.

if you could get a stock turbo catback exhaust then use that. unless you have serious mods then 3" is actually going to reduce your power and be as loud as shit. i have seen results from people putting 3" systems on 3.5L magnas and there was no max power gain from doing it, but there was a drop in low end power, and that is on a car with 1000cc more. even on a 4.0L falcon 2.5" is a big enough exhaust. and before you start bagging out falcons, etc as being shit, it still doesn't alter the fact that a 4.0L engine is going to be pumping out more exhaust gases than a 2.5L

ok, in that case, it really depends on what it is. a lot of stuff is interchangable, sometimes even if the stock items aren't exactly the same. things like pods will usually be 100% universal, not just between skylines, but all cars. it is usually just the adapter that makes it specific to a skyline, etc. radiator hoses and fan belts, etc i would assume would be interchangable. sometimes things can be determined by whether the car has ABS or not. this will often apply to brake parts (i know, captain obvious) but can also apply to other things such as fuel filters (probably not on the skyline though, but i have seen other cars where they are different).

Thanks mad082. your advice did help, but i guess ill just find out about a certain part before i buy it, because as you said, it can vary from part to part which are interchangeable and which are not.

Thanks again.

just ring just jap and ask they know alot. order it over the phone, pretty easy

and then just hope they send you the right thing, LOL. while i haven't had any troubles a guy i know has been given the wrong thing a few times. luckily he just goes there in person so it's easier for him to sort it out.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
