I was actually down at Albert park coincidently and was looking for a car park in a white BMW. and saw few skylines down there and whole lot of people in a group so i'm assuming that was the meet yesterday. looked like there as were a fair few people. well I'll may be next time i'll catch up with everyone.

Ok - was it just me or was there a serious lack of Skylines at Mordy?

The car park was FULL but I was there from 8:30 - 9:30 and the only Skyline I came arcoss was West's R33 who was there just to enjoy the nice evening!

Please explain!?

Snowman: Not sure how you missed us. We were there from about 9-10pm there if remember, near the chicken shop :)

Was a good night - thanks for coming out everybody and it was a great night and i'll remember it for a long time to come in sunny QLD!

The climb up the hill was great fun as usual with just me and my mate's GTR. Skyhigh carpark was closed but hung around outside for a bit, then down the scary route, but also one of melbourne's most challenging. My mate (charlie) survived his first ever virgin SAU cruise in tact and i think he had fun, so you'll probably see more of him in future ;)

Here are some photos I took of the night. Still getting used to the ins and outs of my new digital camera, so some are a bit erm, "artistic" to say the best, but you get the idea.

Unfortunate about the cops, but guess i got off pretty lucky considering the headlight and things, so maybe I'll leave with a slightly better opinion of VIC cops. Dandy doesn't have the rep it does for nothing. Trying to get a defect cleared before Wednesday would have been a right pain in the ass. Traffic along Belgrave-Hallam rd sucked, as that is usually a nice 100+ zone, but not much you can do.

:boobs:

Ok - I was at the beach - not at the shops! I was in the car park near the Mordy pier. Next time I will do the smart thing and take any contact numbers with me that are available.

Sounds like you had a good night - it was an awesome night for a drive thats for sure.

Snowman: I saw a bayside 34 turn left (from city) at the first Mordy roundabout - ne'er to be seen again. Can you PM me your number for future ref. You missed us by about 10 meters

Was - as always - good fun. Great to meet some new people. Was a lovely sight watching the stove-stops wind their way along Beach Rd. Much pleasure to see an unmarked SS using 'discretion' as we all passed calmly and sensibly - although at about 10km above the limit. More patrols, less cameras - a much better situation for all.

Had a bit of fun heading home trying to shoot flames (success!) for the OFNSIV boys. Pulled up at lights next to a VS-Exec. Unprovoked - the driver told me he's love to go for a run but had just rebuilt his engine and didn't want to blow it up. Smells like performance anxiety to me :D

Stopped at Coles in Prahran on the way home (cereal, milk, eggs, juice & catfood) and watched the chap-lappers for a while. Saw a not-very-tastefully modified R33 GTR in pink/purple/pearl paint with a black (painted) bonnet, red (painted) interior, carved 'gills' on the front guards and no lower lip. GTR-007.

Yucky.

All in all a good night out ;)

Glad to catch up with a few of the usuals (and new members too)

I'll be back on the cruise organising next year, too much happening during Christmas to try planning anything.

Oh, and Jag... LOVE the 7000rpm drop of the cluch and smoke starting to billow out from the wheel arches till the Atessa says hello (or you back off)

Yeah Ash it was weird, when I dumped the clutch it popped out of first and into neutral, that's why I went nowhere in a hurry!!!!

Didn't notice any smoke though?!?!? Seemed ok after a good hiding on the way home..... gotta luv GTR's!!!!

    • I like it when the counter chick leads you out the back into the racks and says "have a grub around in here and see if you can find what you need. I'll be back in a few minutes. Just left me in front of a massive motorised shelving system and 2-3 million fasteners, so I could find a peculiar SS shoulder bolt with cap head. Gotta love country towns.
    • I used this https://osgiken.com.au/product/os-giken-os-250r-lsd-gear-oil-80w250-1-litre/   shut my nismo 1.5 pro up by heaps…. Not silent though. Gives the car character and personality. It ain’t a carolla. If you want silent, put a quaife in it.
    • It's about the same time for me from Bunnings, or the Fasteners. My big push away from takeaway food, and gluten in general keeps me away from the Bunnings Snags too! Weather up here, I've been out for two walks today in the beautiful sunshine. Had a few little drizzles, and some wind, that honestly, a tin of beans and I could compete on how harsh she blows Thankfully, being this bit inland, we're not getting anything much really. Will probably pick up a bit more when/if Cyclone Alfie decides to come ashore. A few areas in the GC though, and south into NSW are really getting smashed though! Right now, I'm just annoyed Alfie hasn't hit, as I'm not allowed to crack into the BBQ foods like the bacon and eggs until the Cyclone hits "In case we lose power"...
    • I love fastener joints, the price difference between them and joints like Bunnings or Super Cheap is amazing, and they either have exactly what you want, or they can get it to quick They have even given me some for free when I only needed a couple of specific size In saying this, I have paid premium for fasteners from Bunnings if they have the sizes I need, but only for convenience really, as my local is only 10 minutes away, the Sushi joint near them is also a consideration  How's the weather Matt? Stay safe mate
    • Wideband is worth setting up if only for tuning purposes. I would not mess with the ignition system unless there's a misfire. HKS crank trigger is popular out here for the relatively easily sourced Denso crank sensor, not a bad idea to install as well regardless of power level on a standalone. Boost leak test is worth thinking about. Oil pressure sensor tied to a fuel cut isn't a bad idea either. Getting the tune figured out is a good idea. Without putting eyes on it and getting under it there's no way for us to tell you exactly what it needs but most likely you're down to the last 10% that will make a big, big difference in how happy you are with the car.
