Hi guys,

Finally got some decent pics of my bros turbo of his 1995 series 2 r33 gts25t...

If you know what type of turbo this is please let me kow and how much boost can i run?

also just wondering why the exhaust side looks rusty colour ?

is that maby because of af mixture ?

just some info on it, the turbo spools up at about 4000 and full boost at about 4,500 , 5000 rpm

cheers.

It looks like the standard turbo to me, with plastic compressor wheel and ceramic turbine wheel. Not sure what that orange stuff is, I've heard of some people getting orange plugs from some 98RON fuel and too-cold plugs, maybe it's related. They all get brown-rusty on the outside, but that's the first one I've seen that was orange on the inside.

I dont think the compressor wheel looks std, but the turbine and housing all look pretty std.

I havent seen all that many Nisan turbos off the engine so cant be sure if the compressor isnt factory, just those that i have seen look different.

As for the colour on the exh. housing, i suspect thats from running some sort of jungle juice, be it from additives like Octane booster or toluene or from Shell 100 racing fuel etc. I hear if its white then its from the A/F leaning out, so its not that.

ok,

also on the back it says T459 ? if thats related to anything... and the number 1 so i was thinking its stage 1 upgrade?

And i'v ran 15 psi before no worries,

but it doesn seem like standard turbo because after it hits full boost it keeps pulling all the way to redline and doesnt slak off..

is it bad for the turbo and car to run octane booster? cause i have before....
